BOMBER JOINS LIONS

Friday 23rd December 2011, 14:16
Team Great Britain star Chris Harris has claimed the tenth and final Grand Prix rider berth in the 2012 Polish Ekstraliga after signing a deal with Czestochowa.
The Cornishman was linked with the Lions for weeks, but was waiting for the club to receive a licence to run before putting pen to paper.
He joins the likes of Grigory Laguta, Daniel Nermark, Patrick Hougaard, Grzegorz Zengota, Miroslaw Jablonski, Raphael Szombierski and Slawomir Drabik as a confirmed Czestochowa starter.
With Ekstraliga clubs limited to just one SGP regular each for next year, Harris’ deal officially rules Danish international Kenneth Bjerre out of a top flight place. He was unable to agree financial terms with Wroclaw, who have signed Freddie Lindgren.
Greg Hancock (Tarnow), Andreas Jonsson (Zielona Gora), Jaroslaw Hampel (Leszno), Jason Crump (Rzeszow), Tomasz Gollob (Gorzow), Emil Sayfutdinov (Bydgoszcz), Chris Holder (Torun) and Nicki Pedersen (Gdansk) also have confirmed places in the Ekstraliga.
Antonio Lindback and Bjarne Pedersen will ride for Gniezno in the First Division, while Peter Ljung and Hans Andersen represent Grudziadz.
