BJARNE IN BONANZA

Birmingham newcomer Bjarne Pedersen will make his first Perry Barr appearance as a Brummie in the Ben Fund Bonanza on March 11.
Pedersen is joined by fellow Grand Prix competitor Kenneth Bjerre in a meeting which is sure to attract a bumper crowd.
The former Poole man admits it will be a vital chance to get used to the track he will call home for the next two seasons.
He said: “This is my first time in the Ben Fund meeting, although of course I know that it has been running for a few years now.
“It’s a great thing to be part of. It benefits the riders who get injured. Luckily enough I have never had to use the Fund but it is a great thing and an easy one to say ‘yes’ to riding in.
“Of course even better for me is that it is at Birmingham. I only rode there once last year so it will be my second meeting there and I will probably need it! It is shaped a little bit like Poole so that might help with my setup.”
