WEIGHT REDUCTION

Polish star Tomasz Gollob is shedding the pounds in a bid to get his World Championship back this year.
The 40-year-old has won five Speedway World Cups with Poland in the last seven years and has also lifted eight Polish titles in his glittering career.
It took one of the SGP series’ all-time greats over two decades to realise his dream of becoming world individual champion.
"I’ve already won a lot in my career, but setting new goals does not bother me. I want another World Championship."

Gollob lifted the sport’s biggest prize in 2010 and was leading last season’s standings after round four in Copenhagen. But a spectacular dip in form left him fifth in the final table.
Despite winning almost everything at home and abroad, the Bydgoszcz-born legend remains as ambitious as ever.
He is heading to Spain in early February to warm up for the season with some motocross action, alongside Gorzow team mates Krzysztof Kasprzak and Bartosz Zmarzlik.
And Gollob is determined to ensure he is in tip-top condition ahead of the new SGP season, which launches with the FIM New Zealand Grand Prix in Auckland on March 31.
He told Radio Zachod: “We have finished preparing the hardware. Every day, I am doing at least one workout. Already my weight is similar to two years ago. I’ve lost a few pounds and I’m not going to stop.
"I think the new season will be better than the last one. I’ve already won a lot in my career, but setting new goals does not bother me. I want another World Championship, a team championship in Poland and many other things.”
