World Championship leader Jason Crump made his Russian league bow for Vladivostok in Togliatti on Thursday night.

The Aussie romped to 11 paid 12 points, but was unable to save his side from a 49-41 defeat against a team, which tracked his compatriot Ryan Sullivan.

Sullivan managed just five points, but Togliatti’s former Grand Prix regular Artem Laguta was in devastating form and roared to an 18-point maximum.

Former World Under-21 finalist Vadim Tarasenko led the Vladivostok scorechart on 12 paid 13.

Crump faces some serious travelling to get to his home fixtures, which will take place in a town nested not far from the Chinese and North Korean borders, with Japan just across the water.
