PAWLICKI ON POLE IN GUSTROW

Polish starlet Przemyslaw Pawlicki moved a step closer to the World Championship by winning his SGP qualifier in Gustrow.
The World Under-21 finalist topped the rostrum on 12, pipping Grand Prix regular Peter Ljung, who qualified for the semi-finals on 11.
Danish SGP track reserve Mikkel B Jensen built on his famous victory over Greg Hancock and Nicki Pedersen in Copenhagen last Saturday by winning a run-off for third place.
He pipped Germany’s Kevin Wolbert, Latvia’s Kjastas Puodzuks and Denmark’s Mads Korneliussen on to the podium after they all tied on 10 points.
Russian international Renat Gafurov and Swedish racer Dennis Andersson made the cut on nine, while Danish rider Peter Kildemand sneaked through on eight.
Finnish hotshot Timo Lahti just missed out on seven. Polish Under-21 champion Piotr Pawlicki fell short on six, while Britain’s Edward Kennett was also eliminated on five.
