World champion Greg Hancock was taken to hospital following a crash with Gorzow SGP winner Martin Vaculik at Holsted this evening.
The pair tumbled in heat four of Vaculik’s club Holsted’s 52-35 win over Hancock’s side Slangerup.
Both men withdrew from the meeting and Herbie was taken to hospital by medics as a precaution. He was given the all-clear by doctors and promptly discharged.
Slovakian sensation Martin Vaculik was quick to send Hancock his best wishes following the spill.
He tweeted: “@GregHancock45 I'm so sorry for crash tonight.. I feel like after KO! Greg I hope everything is good with u!! Take care!”
SGP star Nicki Pedersen powered to 17 points for Holsted, while Polish racer Miroslaw Jablonski added 13 paid 16. Grzegorz Zengota top-scored on 17 for Slangerup.
Meanwhile, Andreas Jonsson bagged 13 paid 14 for Fjelsted as they won 49-36 at home to Grindsted.
Peter Kildemand led the hosts on 15 – a figure matched by Grindsted top dog Michael Jepsen Jensen.
In Sweden, Niels-Kristian Iversen notched 11 to inspire Indianerna to a 47-43 win away to Hammarby.
His fellow countryman Hans Andersen also shone on nine paid 11, while Kenneth Bjerre notched nine. Antonio Lindback’s Elitserien struggles continued as he accrued four paid five.
Hammarby went into the meeting without Tomasz Gollob, who has been ordered to rest as he struggles with the head injury he sustained at the club on May 22. Sebastian Alden led their scoring on 13.
