EMIL'S EFFORTS NOT ENOUGH

Tuesday 24th July 2012, 18:52
SGP racer Emil Sayfutdinov stormed to 15 points in a seven-ride marathon for Vetlanda, but it was not enough to save them from a 48-42 at Vastervik on Tuesday.
The Elitserien leaders went into the meeting without injured Grand Prix stars Jason Crump and Jaroslaw Hampel. So the emphasis was on the Russian international to score big. He duly delivered while Martin Vaculik, who deputises for Hampel in the FIM Fogo Croatian SGP on Saturday, tallied 10.
British star Chris Harris top-scored on 10 paid 11 for Vastervik, while Tomasz Jedrzejak notched a straight 10 and SGP rider Peter Ljung accrued five paid six.
Elsewhere, in-form Niels-Kristian Iversen picked up 13 points as Indianerna collected a 45-45 draw at Valsarna. Antonio Lindback weighed in with eight paid 11 for the away team.
Polish international Krzysztof Buczkowski led the Hagfors outfit’s scorechart on 14, while Swedish champion Daniel Nermark bagged 13.
Danish No.1 Nicki Pedersen notched 10 paid 11 points in Malilla as his rock-solid Vargarna team picked up a surprise 46-44 win against Dackarna.
Reserve Kim Nilsson also shone on nine paid 11, while Grand Prix regular Bjarne Pedersen bagged eight. World No.2 Andreas Jonsson collected 12 for the hosts. Darcy Ward supported him well on 10 paid 13 and Freddie Lindgren scored seven.
In the day’s other meeting, young guns Linus Sundstrom and Przemyslaw Pawlicki both bagged 12 paid 14 for Piraterna as they floored Hammarby 56-34 in Motala.
Aussie champion Chris Holder accrued 10 paid 11 and world champion Greg Hancock ended up on a more modest six paid seven.
