Sunday 29th July 2012, 21:48

Triple world champion Jason Crump followed up his heroic charge to the FIM Fogo Croatian SGP semis with a 15-point maximum for Rzeszow as they won 53-37 at home to Wroclaw on Sunday.

The 36-year-old underwent surgery to plate a broken collarbone on July 21 – two days after breaking it in a Russian match at Vladivostok.

But just seven days on, he left Gorican with nine World Championship points and then completed a perfect five rides for his Polish club.

The Aussie was beautifully backed up by Grzegorz Walasek, who tallied 12, while Rafal Okoniewski notched 10.

Team Great Britain star Tai Woffinden enjoyed a huge confidence boost 24 hours before the British Championship Final at Wolverhampton on Monday, after top-scoring on 14 from six rides for the visitors.

Former SGP regular Sebastian Ulamek accrued 10 and Swedish racer Freddie Lindgren collected eight paid 10.

Elsewhere, Danish star Kenneth Bjerre blasted to 13 points as his Czestochowa side demolished visitors Gdansk 61-29.

Only a third place behind team mate Rafal Szombierski and Gorican gold medallist Nicki Pedersen in race 13 stopped Bjerre ending his evening unbeaten.

Russian international Grigory Laguta scored 12 for the Lions, while Swedish champion Daniel Nermark added 11 paid 13 and Szombierski recorded 10 paid 11.

Pedersen was Gdansk’s leading light as usual on 13 paid 14 and his only support came from Russia’s Renat Gafurov, who notched nine.

The meetings between Leszno and Tarnow, Bydgoszcz and Torun and Zielona Gora and Gorzow were all rained off.
