PERFECTION FOR PEDERSEN

Danish star Nicki Pedersen maintained the red-hot form he showed in Gorican on July 28 by roaring to a 15-point maximum for Gdansk in the Polish Ekstraliga on Sunday.
The triple world champion led the coastal side to a 47-42 triumph at home to Wroclaw and was backed up by an 11-point haul from Swedish international Tomas H Jonasson.
Former SGP rider Sebastian Ulamek replied with 11 for the visitors, while Freddie Lindgren, Tomasz Jedrzejak and Dennis Andersson all accrued seven paid nine.
Elsewhere, Swedish hotshot Andreas Jonsson piled up 14 points for Zielona Gora to inspire his team to a 51-39 win at Leszno. Polish star Piotr Protasiewicz tallied 12 paid 13, while World Under-21 finalist Patryk Dudek added 10 paid 11 at reserve.
Damian Balinski top-scored for the Bulls on nine paid 10, while Piotr Pawlicki accrued eight.
Torun’s Aussie trio Ryan Sullivan, Darcy Ward and Chris Holder proved too hot to handle for Rzeszow, leading their side to a 58-32 victory at the Marian Rose Motoarena.
Sullivan struck gold with a 15-point maximum, while Ward finished on 12 paid 14 from six and SGP title contender Holder picked up 11 on his return from a week off nursing rib damage.
Rafal Okoniewski led the away team’s scorechart on nine paid 10, while triple world champion Jason Crump registered eight.
In the day’s other meeting, world champion Greg Hancock scored 11 for Tarnow as they maintained top spot in the Ekstraliga standings with a 57-33 win at home to Bydgoszcz. Janusz Kolodziej topped the Swallows’ scorechart with a 12-point maximum from four races.
Danish international Leon Madsen notched nine paid 10, while SGP first reserve Martin Vaculik warmed up for the FIM Fogo Italian Grand Prix on Saturday with eight paid 10. World Under-21 champion Maciej Janowski scored seven paid nine. Russian racer Emil Sayfutdinov was Bydgoszcz’s star man on 11, while Kryzsztof Buczkowski bagged eight.
The meeting between Gorzow and Czestochowa at the Edward Jancarz Stadium was rained off.
In the First Division, Peter Ljung picked up 12 points for Grudziadz as they won 51-39 at home to Lublin. His SGP rival Hans Andersen also had a strong afternoon on 10 paid 13.
