LEBEDEVS INSPIRES WROCLAW

Latvian racer Andzejs Lebedevs continued his white-hot form for Wroclaw with 13 paid 15 points as they went two clear at the top.

Latvian racer Andzejs Lebedevs continued his white-hot form for Wroclaw with 13 paid 15 points as they went two clear at the Polish Ekstraliga summit with a 45-45 draw at Rybnik on Sunday.

The Monster Energy SWC star man dropped just three points in six rides to lead his side to a vital point on the road.

Polish ace Maciej Janowski backed him up on 11, while double world champion Tai Woffinden scored a solid 10 paid 11 as he warms up for the Adrian Flux British SGP in Cardiff on Saturday.

World Under-21 champion Max Fricke led the Rybnik scorechart on 10 paid 11, with Kacper Woryna adding nine paid 10 and Freddie Lindgren scoring six.

Polish racer Bartosz Zmarzlik stormed to 15 points from six races, but it wasn’t enough to save Gorzow from a 49-41 defeat at Grudziadz.

Russian star Artem Laguta and Krzysztof Buczkowski led the hosts’ scoring on 11 apiece, with Sweden’s Antonio Lindback notching nine paid 11 and Krystian Pieszczek adding eight paid nine.

Zmarzlik received plenty of support from Danish champion Niels-Kristian Iversen, who tallied 10 paid 12 for Gorzow. But it was a tough meeting for Martin Vaculik, who recorded only three.
