BT Sport remains the home of live domestic and international speedway in the UK after agreeing a new two-year to broadcast live SGB Premiership racing.

The broadcaster begins its third year covering the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series, as well as televising the brand new Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations this June.

Fans can now also enjoy another two seasons of British top-flight racing, featuring the likes of Somerset’s world champion Jason Doyle, Poole icon Chris Holder, Leicester star signing Martin Vaculik and Belle Vue’s SGP newcomer Craig Cook.

Presenters Natalie Quirk and Suzi Perry will continue to front BT Sport’s coverage, with Scott Nicholls offering analysis and Nigel Pearson and Kelvin Tatum providing the commentary.

With SGP, Monster Energy SON and SGB Premiership action on the channel, BT Sport will televise 33 live speedway events throughout the 2018 season.

Simon Green, head of BT Sport, said: “I’m delighted to have renewed British Premiership Speedway for a further two years. BT Sport continues as a fantastic destination for bike lovers in the UK.” 

Keith Chapman, chairman of the British Speedway Promoters’ Association, said “The members of the BSPA are delighted to be on board with BT and are looking forward to a fantastic season’s racing.”
