World champion Jason Doyle has been given the all-clear to leave hospital after opening his PGE Ekstraliga season with a crash at Gorzow on Sunday.

The Torun star left the Edward Jancarz Stadium in an ambulance after a coming together with Gorzow’s Swedish rider Linus Sundstrom in heat one.

Early reports suggested Doyle was knocked out in the collision, but after going to hospital for checks, he played down the incident.

Posting on Twitter, he wrote: “Thanks for all the well wishes! Good news!! Just a little slide off! Nothing broken. On way home from hospital!”

The news will come as a massive boost to Torun with the club already missing Doyle’s fellow Aussie ace Chris Holder, who is currently unavailable while he resolves some personal issues.

Gorzow raced to a 54-35 victory in their absence.
