SGP stars Jason Doyle and Craig Cook go for SGB Premiership Riders Championship glory at Poole on May 9.

SGP stars Jason Doyle and Craig Cook go for SGB Premiership Riders Championship glory at Poole on May 9.

The field for this year’s meeting – just three days before the PZM Warsaw SGP – has been revealed and features two SGP regulars. World champion Doyle represents Somerset while Cook bids to win the title for Belle Vue.

SGP first reserve Niels-Kristian Iversen flies the King’s Lynn flag, while former World Championship regulars Hans Andersen, Chris Harris, Scott Nicholls and Troy Batchelor also take part. In-form Aussie shooting stars Max Fricke and Brady Kurtz will also be among the frontrunners.

But as things stand, there is no place for 2012 world champion Chris Holder, who is expected to return to the Poole Pirates team imminently as he resolves the personal issues which have sidelined him since the start of the season.

He returned to action for Torun on Saturday, tallying 12 points and would be among the favourites if added to the field at a later stage. Pirates are currently represented by Kurtz and skipper Josh Grajczonek.

LINE-UP (not in draw order): Craig Cook, Max Fricke (Belle Vue), Niels-Kristian Iversen, Robert Lambert (King’s Lynn), Hans Andersen, Danny King (Leicester), Brady Kurtz, Josh Grajczonek (Poole), Chris Harris, Scott Nicholls (Rye House), Jason Doyle, Charles Wright (Somerset), Nick Morris, Troy Batchelor (Swindon), Jacob Thorssell, Sam Masters (Wolverhampton).
