Polish parcel and express delivery service GLS has extended its involvement with the FIM Speedway World Championships presented by Monster Energy for 2018.

GLS will serve as a partner at all FIM Speedway Grand Prix and Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations events taking place in Poland this year.

Via the GLS Group, GLS Poland has access to a network of 41 European and seven US states and is globally connected via contractual agreements. The group is one of the leading parcel service providers in Europe. In Poland, GLS has over 11,000 customers, 31 depots and 1,600 vehicles on the road.

After sponsoring the Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup Race Off and Final at Leszno and backing the Polish national team in 2017, GLS will serve as an event partner at the first-ever Monster Energy SON Finals in Wroclaw on July 8 and 9. They will also be event partners at the Warsaw, Gorzow and Torun SGP rounds.

BSI Speedway managing director Torben Olsen said: “We are delighted to both welcome back GLS for 2018 and see them extend their involvement in our sport. They have been fantastic supporters of speedway, particularly in Poland, where the SGP series and Monster Energy SON attract huge interest.

“I’m sure they will benefit from the exposure that the partnership brings them and we look forward to welcoming them to all our Polish events in 2018.”

Managing director at GLS Poland, Tomasz Kroll, said: “We’re always very close to the world of sports. It’s already our second season as the general sponsor of the Polish national speedway team.  We want to be with the riders not only during friendly contests, but also at the most important events.

"We’re very happy that we can support FIM Speedway Grand Prix 2018 and the new formula for the world championships, which is the Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations. I’m certain that when the eyes of the whole world are upon Poland, the riders will deliver a lot of positive emotions to the fans.”
