World No.2 Patryk Dudek saw off new Polish champion Piotr Pawlicki to triumph in the Individual Ekstraliga Riders Championship in Gdansk on Sunday.

The SGP star sneaked into the semi-finals on nine points with a win, three seconds and a last, but turned on the style at the business end of the meeting.

He stormed to victory in semi-final one ahead of Czestochowa racer Leon Madsen, SGP rival Bartosz Zmarzlik and GP Challenge winner Janusz Kolodziej to book his place in the last four.

He was joined by triple world champion Nicki Pedersen, who topped the heat scorechart on 13, with Pawlicki also making it through on 11.

Former world No.3 Emil Sayfutdinov got the better of world champion Jason Doyle, Russian racer Artem Laguta and World Championship leader Tai Woffinden in the second semi to claim the last spot in the final.

But it was Dudek’s day in the coastal city as he topped the podium ahead of Pawlicki, Pedersen and Sayfutdinov.

He will be determined to bring this form to Swedish home track Malilla this Saturday when he competes in the Betard Scandinavian SGP.
