World Championship leader Tai Woffinden faces a tough finish to his Betard Scandinavian SGP heats as he takes on Greg Hancock, Emil Sayfutdinov and Maciej Janowski in heat 20 on Saturday.
Woffy’s rivals will be determined to peg him back as he holds a 20-point lead at the halfway stage in the FIM Speedway World Championship.
The double world champion faces a key battle in heat seven, when he tackles nearest rival Freddie Lindgren, with Przemyslaw Pawlicki and wild card Peter Ljung joining them at the tapes.
Lindgren also ends his heats with a tough test, which sees him come up against world champion Jason Doyle, in-form Artem Laguta and triple world champion Nicki Pedersen.
There’s plenty of Polish interest in heat 12, as Dackarna duo Janowski and Patryk Dudek lock horns on their Swedish Elitserien home track, with Bartosz Zmarzlik and lone Swedish star Lindgren joining them at the start line.
Doyle makes his return to the shale following his Cardiff horror crash by tackling Janowski, Craig Cook and Ljung in race one, with Lindgren meeting Sayfutdinov, Chris Holder and Martin Vaculik in heat two.
Woffinden gets his night started against Dudek, Laguta and Matej Zagar in race three, with old rivals Hancock and Pedersen facing off in heat four, where they are joined by Zmarzlik and Pawlicki.
