13 / 08 / 2018, 12:30

German international Kai Huckenbeck gets another chance to take on the FIM Speedway Grand Prix elite after being handed the German SGP wild card for Teterow on September 22.

The 25-year-old dons the famous No.16 race jacket for the second straight season after making his SGP bow at the Bergring Arena last September, scoring four points.

Huckenbeck impressed for his country at the Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations as Germany made their first World Championship final of the 21st century and he will be keen to build on his ever-growing international experience.

The Werlte-born man races for Brokstedt in the German Bundesliga as well as Grudziadz in the Polish Ekstraliga, Piraterna in the Swedish Allsvenskan League and Esbjerg in the Danish Speedway League.

He is joined in Teterow by track reserves Martin Smolinski and Kevin Wolbert, who line up in the No.17 and No.18 race jackets respectively.

The referee is Craig Ackroyd from Great Britain.
