12 / 09 / 2018, 20:55

Danish racer Mikkel Michelsen scored 14 points to inspire Slangerup into the Metal Speedway League Super Final.

Slangerup won tonight’s semi-final on home shale with 42 points after Michelsen went unbeaten in his first four rides.

He then claimed the second he needed behind triple world champion Nicki Pedersen in heat 22 to ensure his side finished top on the night. Linus Eklof backed him up on 11, with Kenneth Hansen adding eight.

Pedersen’s side Holsted earned the second qualification place after finishing runners-up on 40, heading Grindsted (26) and Holstebro (24).

Slangerup and Holsted now join table-topping Region Varde and second-placed Fjelsted in next Wednesday’s title showdown in Outrup.

Pedersen picked up 12 points for Holsted, with Rasmus Jensen adding 11 and Nicolai Klindt notching nine.

British champion Robert Lambert was Grindsted’s top performer on nine, while Kenneth Bjerre led the Holstebro scoring on 10.
