Polish racer Bartosz Zmarzlik celebrated his new Gorzow contract by powering to 13 points as they took a 46-44 advantage in the PGE Ekstraliga play-off final on Sunday.

Zmarzlik dropped just two points to Leszno duo Jaroslaw Hampel and Piotr Pawlicki at the Edward Jancarz Stadium to inspire his side into a slender lead.

SGP star Martin Vaculik notched nine, while former world No.2 Krzysztof Kasprzak weighed in with eight paid 11.

Pawlicki led the way for the Bulls on 13 paid 14, while Russian racer Emil Sayfutdinov tallied 10 paid 11.

Elsewhere, World Under-21 champion Maksym Drabik blazed to 14 points for Wroclaw as they took a 51-39 win over Czestochowa in the bronze medal play-off opener at the Olympic Stadium.

Drabik was well supported by 11 paid 13 from World Championship leader Tai Woffinden and 10 paid 12 from Maciej Janowski.

New European champion Leon Madsen led the Lions on 14 paid 15, with Freddie Lindgren notching nine paid 10 and Matej Zagar adding eight.

The deciding legs take place in Leszno and Czestochowa next Sunday.
