TOP THREE SHOWDOWN IN SWEDEN

The FIM Speedway Grand Prix top three have been drawn together in a blockbuster Norrbil Swedish SGP heat 17 in Hallstavik tomorrow.

The FIM Speedway Grand Prix top three have been drawn together in a blockbuster Norrbil Swedish SGP heat 17 in Hallstavik tomorrow.

World Championship leader Patryk Dudek comes up against Leon Madsen – with both men starting the night tied on 40 points. Bartosz Zmarzlik in third is in hot pursuit on 36 points.

To add even more spice to the showdown, Rospiggarna racer Jason Doyle completes the line-up in red on his Elitserien home track.

In an incredible twist of fate, the starting position draw has handed Rospiggarna riders Doyle and Max Fricke two red gates with former Hallstavik regulars Robert Lambert and Martin Vaculik also given a pair of starts in red.

This could offer all four men an advantage on a tight and technical track where gate one usually produces the most winners and points.

The quartet face a fascinating showdown in heat five, with Vaculik – a Rospiggarna rider from 2015 and 2016 – drawn in red. Doyle starts alongside him in blue, Lambert wears white and Fricke is in yellow.

Doyle starts the night in race one against Sweden’s world No.3 Freddie Lindgren, Danish star Niels-Kristian Iversen and Russian racer Emil Sayfutdinov. Lambert opens his night off the inside against Madsen, 2018 Hallstavik winner Maciej Janowski and ANLAS Czech SGP winner Janusz Kolodziej in heat two.

Dudek comes up against Fricke, Artem Laguta and Matej Zagar in heat three, while Zmarzlik tackles Vaculik, plus Swedish duo Antonio Lindback and wild card Oliver Berntzon in race four.
