Former World Under-21 champion Maksym Drabik makes his much-anticipated full FIM Speedway Grand Prix debut at the Betard Wroclaw SGP of Poland on August 3.
Drabik dons the famous No.16 race jacket on his PGE Ekstraliga home track where he has developed into one of the sport’s hottest junior prospects. He also races for Lejonen in the Swedish Elitserien.
The 21-year-old won the FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship in 2017 and finished second to compatriot Bartosz Smektala in 2018.
He took his first SGP rides as a track reserve at the 2018 Boll Warsaw SGP of Poland, scoring two points from two rides.
The Czestochowa-born racer is the son of 1996 World Team Cup winner, two-time Polish champion and former SGP star Slawomir Drabik, who appeared in the 1997 series.
Joining Drabik in Wroclaw are track reserves Przemyslaw Liszka and Mateusz Cierniak, who line up at No.17 and No.18 respectively.
The referee is Krister Gardell from Sweden.
