Wroclaw duo Maciej Janowski and Tai Woffinden starred in Zielona Gora as they stunned Falubaz 46-44 in the PGE Ekstraliga on Sunday.

If this match proves a dress rehearsal for an upcoming play-off semi-final, Wroclaw go into it with a psychological advantage after wrapping up the points in heat 14 when Woffinden got the better of SGP rival Martin Vaculik.

The Slovak impressed on 12 paid 15 points for the hosts, with Patryk Dudek delivering 14 points.

But 10 paid 12 from Janowski and 10 for Woffinden was enough to lead a rock-solid Wroclaw side to victory.

Elsewhere, Lublin boosted their hopes of avoiding a possible promotion/relegation play-off after climbing above Gorzow into sixth with a 50-40 victory over Bartosz Zmarzlik’s side.

Zmarzlik led the way for the visitors on 14, with Krzysztof Kasprzak delivering 12 paid 14 and Szymon Wozniak tallying 10 paid 11.

Lublin’s Russian racer Grigory Laguta raced to 12 paid 13 points, while Wiktor Lampart tallied 10 paid 12. SGP reserve Mikkel Michelsen notched nine paid 10 points.
