Great Britain racer Robert Lambert has declared himself fit for a huge weekend of action as he prepares for Saturday’s GP Challenge in Gorican.
The King’s Lynn favourite has been sidelined since crashing in the Speedway European Championship round at Torun on July 27, suffering fractures to his TH4 and TH5 vertebrae.
But Lambert is ready to defy the damage and take his place in the Challenge, where the top three riders earn spots in SGP 2020.
He makes his racing comeback the night before in Poland, where Lublin travel to Grudziadz in the PGE Ekstraliga.
Posting on Facebook, Lambert wrote: “Just to keep you updated - I had a couple of practices this week.
“As I am still in some pain, I wanted to know how I feel riding the bike. Tomorrow I’ll be back racing for my Polish club Speed Car Motor Lublin. Of course it means I’ll be racing in the GP Challenge in Gorican on Saturday too.
“Thank you to everyone for the messages while I was recovering. It means a lot and it is great to have such a great community behind me.”
