PEDERSEN PENS TWO-YEAR GRUDZIADZ DEAL

Triple world champion Nicki Pedersen is on the move in the PGE Ekstraliga after signing a two-year deal with Grudziadz.

Triple world champion Nicki Pedersen is on the move in the PGE Ekstraliga after signing a two-year deal with Grudziadz.

The Dane has long been linked with the move after spending the past season with Zielona Gora. It is rumoured he will replace SGP star Antonio Lindback at the club, with the Swede moving in the opposite direction to Falubaz.

The 42-year-old finished 12th in the PGE Ekstraliga averages with a figure of 2.032 points per heat and remains one of the most consistent performers in the Polish top flight.

A two-year contract suggests there are no signs of Pedersen slowing down, and he has also penned deals with Holsted in Denmark and Rospiggarna in the Swedish Elitserien.

Reacting to his Grudziadz move on Facebook, he said: “A great contract with a great club. I’m really looking forward to the next two years in GKM Grudziadz.

“I have done really well there and I have really enjoyed racing at the track in Grudziadz.”
