LINDBACK COMPLETES FALUBAZ MOVE

Swedish star Antonio Lindback is on his way to Zielona Gora after agreeing a two-year deal.

Swedish star Antonio Lindback is on his way to Zielona Gora after agreeing a two-year deal.

The Rio Rocket effectively swaps places with triple world champion Nicki Pedersen, who replaces him at Grudziadz – also on a two-year contract.

Lindback teams up with the likes of former world No.2 Patryk Dudek, world No.5 Martin Vaculik and Falubaz legend Piotr Protasiewicz.

The Avesta-based racer, who was handed a wild card for the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series for 2020, believes he will thrive on the passion of the Falubaz fans in the coming seasons.

He told SpeedwayEkstraliga.pl: “In my eyes, STELMET Falubaz is a very professional club. When I have visited Zielona Gora to race, the fans always impressed me. How they behave and how they support the team is fantastic. It is important when you feel support from fans; then the racing is even more pleasant.

“As for the Zielona Gora track, it’s usually very consistent and suits me. So I am happy with this contract. I just want to be there.”

Elsewhere, Polish racer Pawel Przedpelski has signed a new one-year deal with Czestochowa for 2020.
