Swedish star Antonio Lindback believes he will quickly make himself at home in Zielona Gora as PGE Ekstraliga sides start practising today.

The Rio Rocket joined the club from Grudziadz over the winter months with triple world champion Nicki Pedersen moving in the opposite direction.

Lindback joins the likes of former world No.2 Patryk Dudek, Slovak star Martin Vaculik and local legend Piotr Protasiewicz in Falubaz colours as the team seeks championship glory.

Dudek has already tipped Lindback to get to grips with the Zielona Gora track very quickly.

The Brazil-born ace is confident his new Polish home circuit will suit him down to the ground, and he can’t wait to join forces with his new side.

He said: “They have a really good team, so it will be an interesting year. It is one of my favourite tracks in Poland.

“It’s a good shape and I think that will help me a lot. If you have a home track that is good for you, it makes everything much easier.

“It’s a good move for me to go to Zielona Gora. My team mates are really nice and we will have a lot of fun.

“The club is very professional and I am really looking forward to the season starting. I want it to start!”

Lindback won’t have to wait much longer as teams resume training sessions today, before meetings commence on June 12.

There are also reports in the Polish media that a limited number of fans could be admitted to stadiums from June 19 – with numbers capped at 25 percent of a stadium’s capacity. The PGE Ekstraliga is yet to officially confirm any changes to plans to stage matches behind closed doors at this stage.
