Polish star Maciej Janowski claimed the Wroclaw track record on a night it was smashed SIX times as his side saw off Grudziadz 53-37 on Friday.
The action as held up for an hour to allow extra track work following a heavy downpour at the Olympic Stadium. But the racing was fast and furious when the tapes finally went up.
Gleb Chugunov set a new track record twice (60.48 and then 60.43), with Kenneth Bjerre (60.78), Przemyslaw Pawlicki (60.45) and Maksym Drabik (60.42) all getting in on the act.
But it was Janowski who ended the night as the fastest man around Wroclaw, clocking a lightening 60.20-second mark in race 11 on his way to 11 paid 12 points in his home city.
Tai Woffinden bagged 10 paid 13, while Gleb Chugunov starred on nine paid 10 at reserve and Maksym Drabik added eight paid nine. Aussie SGP star Max Fricke enjoyed a much-improved night on six paid eight and Chris Holder collected five paid six.
Russian ace Artem Laguta was Grudziadz’s leading light on a super 16 points, with Kenneth Bjerre collecting 11.
In the day’s other meeting, Russian racer Emil Sayfutdinov and Bartosz Smektala stormed to 12 paid 13 points apiece as Leszno maintained their 100-percent record with a thumping 56-34 win at Rybnik.
The duo were in fine form as the Bulls went on the charge against the newly-promoted side, with only Great Britain star Robert Lambert able to deny them maximums with his victories in heats one and 15.
Rybnik’s No.8 was in astonishing form once again, racking up a career-best Ekstraliga score of 15 points to keep his side’s tally respectable as he bagged three wins and three seconds.
Piotr Pawlicki also impressed for Leszno on 10 paid 11, while Aussie Under-21 champion Jaimon Lidsey continued his promising Ekstraliga introduction with nine paid 10.
