Swedish star Freddie Lindgren raced to 13 points for Czestochowa as they roared into the PGE Ekstraliga play-off places with a 49-41 win at Rybnik on Thursday night.

Fast Freddie went unbeaten in his opening four rides as he led the Lions charge in fine style.

He was backed up by 12 paid 13 from Norwegian-born Rune Holta, while Jason Doyle scored seven and world No.2 Leon Madsen endured a rare off-night on four points.

Polish international Kacper Woryna led the Rybnik resistance on 14 points from seven outings, with new European champion Robert Lambert notching nine just 24 hours after booking his place in SGP 2021.

The PGE Ekstraliga action continues on Friday, when Zielona Gora hosts Rybnik and Leszno welcomes basement club Gorzow.
