Russian brothers Grigorii and Artem Laguta piled up 29 points between them as their sides picked up vital PGE Ekstraliga points on Sunday.

Elder sibling Grigorii raced to a 15-point maximum for Lublin as they defeated visitors Wroclaw 51-39 to move up to third place in the table.

Meanwhile, Artem dropped just a point on his way to 14 for Grudziadz as they claimed a useful 45-45 draw at home to play-off-chasing Czestochowa to move three points clear of the bottom two places.

Grigorii dominated a power-packed Wroclaw side as Lublin continues to emerge as contenders in this year’s title race. He was backed up by 10 paid 11 points from Jaroslaw Hampel and eight paid nine from Matej Zagar.

Triple world champion Tai Woffinden was Wroclaw’s best performer on 13 paid 14 points from six races, while Maciej Janowski scored 11 paid 12 and Max Fricke added four paid five.

Artem was joined in the high-scoring stakes for Grudziadz by Danish star Kenneth Bjerre, who matched his 14-point haul with a pacey performance. His compatriot Nicki Pedersen also impressed on 11 paid 12.

Czestochowa youngster Jakub Miskowiak underlined his huge potential with a sensational 12-point tally. Freddie Lindgren raced to eight paid nine, with Jason Doyle adding a straight eight and Leon Madsen scoring six paid seven.
