FRICKE & ZAGAR SEAL FALUBAZ MOVES

FIM Speedway Grand Prix stars Max Fricke and Matej Zagar have sealed moves to Zielona Gora.

FIM Speedway Grand Prix stars Max Fricke and Matej Zagar have sealed moves to Zielona Gora.

Fricke completes a switch from Wroclaw, while Zagar joins from Lublin. The pair team up with the likes of their SGP rival Patryk Dudek, Falubaz legend Piotr Protasiewicz and Mateusz Tonder.

With clubs forced to track an under-24 rider in their top five for 2021, clubs are now limited to two senior foreign stars over this age. This rule forced both riders to seek pastures new.

I think it’s a really exciting team. There are a lot of great riders in there, mixed with a lot of experience.

But Fricke is delighted with a move, which sees him arrive on a two-year deal. He told the club’s official website: “I am really happy. It’s a great race track here and somewhere I have always enjoyed coming as an away rider. I am really looking forward to being here as a home rider and doing well.

“I want to be a big part of the team. I want to be out there, scoring a lot of points and contributing a lot to Falubaz being a successful team in 2021.

“I think it’s a really exciting team. There are a lot of great riders in there, mixed with a lot of experience. I think it will be a great balance of young guys and guys with a lot of experience. Together we can do a really good job.”

Zagar can’t wait to experience the passion of Falubaz and is determined to lead the club to success. He said: “I want to be one of the leaders of this team. Cooperation, the atmosphere in the team and effective racing in the colours of Zielona Gora are important to me.

“This club is charismatic and every time we lost to Falubaz, everyone said Falubaz was magic. Now I joined this magic and I can't wait.”

Elsewhere, Polish star Przemyslaw Pawlicki has extended his stay with Grudziadz into 2021.
