European champion Robert Lambert has sealed a return to Swedish side Lejonen.

The Brit inspired the Gislaved team to the top of this year’s Bauhaus Elitserien standings, before they exited the play-offs at the semi-final stage.

He joins forces with the likes of SGP rival Oliver Berntzon, Kacper Woryna, Nicolai Klindt and Mathias Thornblom at the club.

Posting on Facebook, Lambert wrote: “It is finally official that I am staying with Lejonen Speedway for 2021.

“I am very happy with this decision. I feel fantastic with the team and also on our track, which is very important. Can’t wait to see our fans back to the stadium in 2021! See you all soon!”

Elsewhere, Vastervik agreed terms with former World Under-21 champion Bartosz Smektala for next season. And Rospiggarna signed Finnish international Timo Lahti.
