Aussie ace Jason Doyle set his sights on his first PGE Ekstraliga gold medal after sealing a move to champions Leszno for 2021.

Doyle joins the Bulls after spending this season with Czestochowa, and he teams up with the likes of Russian racer Emil Sayfutdinov, skipper Piotr Pawlicki, Janusz Kolodziej and World Under-21 champion Jaimon Lidsey.

Leszno has a history of tracking Aussie icons, with Leigh Adams one of the club’s most famous sons.

I have only had a bronze medal in the Polish Ekstraliga and Leszno has had four golds in a row. I am hoping to keep this trend going make it five.

Doyle is keen to write his own chapter in the club’s story. He won a PGE Ekstraliga bronze medal with Zielona Gora in 2016. But he’s keen to upgrade that at the Alfred Smoczyk Stadium.

Speaking to the club’s YouTube channel, he said: “I am really looking forward to the new challenge. I have only had a bronze medal in the Polish Ekstraliga and Leszno has had four golds in a row. I am hoping to keep this trend going make it five.

“I am really looking forward to riding with my new team mates and also my new club. I am very happy to say I have a clear contract now and hopefully I can continue this cooperation with the club and also my team mates.

“See you all in 2021. Have a great Christmas and New Year. I’ll see you back there in February.”

Elsewhere, triple world champion Nicki Pedersen has put pen to paper on his 2021 contract with Grudziadz, while local hero Adrian Miedzinski has agreed terms with Torun.

Former Polish team manager Marek Cieslak will spearhead Rybnik’s bid to return to the PGE Ekstraliga after taking over as the relegated club’s new team manager for 2021.

Also in the First Division, Australian international Rohan Tungate has completed a switch from Lodz to Tarnow, where he joins former Danish champion Niels-Kristian Iversen.
