Aussie star Jason Doyle is determined to help Dackarna end their 14-year wait for Bauhaus Elitserien gold after joining the Malilla club for 2021.
Doyle was due to line up for Vastervik this year, but he withdrew from their squad after Polish rules limiting PGE Ekstraliga riders to racing in one other league forced him to choose between either a British or Swedish deal.
The Norfolk-based ace agreed to line up for SGB Premiership champions Swindon, but Doyle opted out of the UK after the club announced its shock withdrawal from the league for 2021 due to Covid-19 concerns and planned building work at their Abbey Stadium home.
I'm very happy to have this chance, partly because I had a good time last time I was at the club and also because I have the opportunity to work with Micke again.

After confirming he would seek a Swedish contract, Doyle wasted no time in agreeing terms with Dackarna, reuniting with his former Rospiggarna boss Mikael Teurnberg – five years on from their Elitserien title win in Hallstavik.
Doyle hopes to repeat that golden success in Malilla and can’t wait to team up with SGP rival Maciej Janowski for the first time in his club career as Dackarna seeks its first title since 2007.
He told the Dackarna website: “We definitely have a team that can compete for Swedish Championship gold. Dackarna has had a good team for many years with riders like Magic, (Patryk) Dudek and (Greg) Hancock, but they did not manage to go all the way.
“It will also be fun to ride in the same team as Magic. We have never done that before and I hope we can do something good together for Dackarna.”
Doyle, who previously raced for Dackarna in 2015, admits he wasted no time opening talks with Teurnberg when he was told a Robins return was no longer an option.
He said: “When it became clear that Swindon would not start, I talked to Micke about racing for Dackarna.
“I'm very happy to have this chance, partly because I had a good time last time I was at the club and also because I have the opportunity to work with Micke again.”
Elsewhere, Doyle's former club Vastervik has announced Linus Sundstrom as their latest signing and captain for 2021.
