Danish racer Nicolai Klindt has withdrawn from Swedish side Lejonen’s squad for 2021.
The British-based racer is set to line-up for Ostrow in the Polish First Division and rules in that country mean he can only compete in two other domestic leagues. As a result, Klindt is due to line up for Vojens in the Danish Speedway League and Ipswich in the UK, where he is based.
He has also signed as a guest for Gorzow and will cover in the event of a rider being sidelined due to a positive Covid-19 test.
Lejonen insist the door remains open for Klindt to be drafted back into a team he was due to captain, if he is able to return to Sweden.
The Lions will track the likes of European champion Robert Lambert, his SGP rivals Krzysztof Kasprzak and Oliver Berntzon, Jaroslaw Hampel, Rohan Tungate, Kacper Woryna, Mathias Thornblom and Linus Eklof.
Elsewhere, Rospiggarna have completed their squad by recruiting Latvia’s FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship bronze medallist Olegs Mihailovs. His fellow countryman Francis Gusts is on his way to champions Masarna.
