World champion Bartosz Zmarzlik raced to a 15-point maximum for Vetlanda as they topped the Bauhaus Elitserien standings with a 48-42 win away to Piraterna on Tuesday.

The Pole collected 14 points from a possible 15 in his Swedish opener against Rospiggarna last Thursday and he made it 29 out of 30 with a dominant display in Motala.

Zmarzlik was backed up by a 12 paid 13-point haul from fellow countryman Dominik Kubera.

Great Britain racer Adam Ellis was Pirates’ star man on 10 paid 12 points, while Oskar Fajfer bagged 10 paid 11 and Tomas H Jonasson notched nine.

Zmarzlik wasn’t the only Polish FIM Speedway Grand Prix icon piling up the points as Maciej Janowski notched 14 for Dackarna, inspiring them to a 55-35 win at home to champions Masarna.

Only Magic’s fellow countryman Piotr Pawlicki got the better of him over five rides, as the Masarna star ended his evening on 16 from six heats, making him the only visitor to hit double figures.

Danish racer Rasmus Jensen also impressed for the hosts on 12 paid 13, while 2017 world champion Jason Doyle collected a straight 12. Swedish champion Jacob Thorssell recorded eight paid 11.

The day’s other meeting between Smederna and Lejonen was postponed due to an unfit track. The decision was made around an hour after the scheduled start time after extensive track work failed to improve conditions sufficiently for the action to go ahead.
