Doyle continued his red-hot run of form in Malilla – where he races the Swedish FIM Speedway Grand Prix on August 14 – with a perfect score from five rides. World Championship leader Maciej Janowski was also on the gas with 12 paid 14 from six, with American international Luke Becker bagging 12 paid 13.

Danish star Michael Jepsen Jensen responded with 13 for the visitors, while Swedish SGP wild card Pontus Aspgren notched nine ahead of his World Championship debut in Malilla next month.

Elsewhere, Swedish star Oliver Berntzon bounced back from a testing full-time SGP debut in Prague with 13 paid 14 points for Lejonen as they won 49-41 at home to Piraterna.

Berntzon dropped just one point to an opponent, while Aussie racer Rohan Tungate collected 11 paid 13 and 2020 European champion Robert Lambert bagged a straight 11.

Oskar Fajfer was Pirates’ top performer on 13 paid 14, with Tomas H Jonasson registering a straight 13 and Mateusz Tonder notching nine paid 10.

World No.3 Freddie Lindgren racked up 12 paid 14 points for Vastervik as the coastal club raced to a 52-38 victory at home to Indianerna.

He was well supported by 10 paid 11 apiece from Pawel Przedpelski and Viktor Kulakov, with Vadim Tarasenko adding a straight 10. Former world champion Chris Holder led Indians’ score chart on 14 points from six, while Jonas Jeppesen notched nine and Max Fricke collected eight paid 10.

In the day’s other meeting, former Australian champion Brady Kurtz picked up 13 points for Vetlanda, taking a vital victory in heat 15 as they snatched a 46-44 win away to Masarna.
